Dr. Andalib Nawab graduated from Pakistan’s most prestigious medical school, the Aga Khan University. She completed her Internal Medicine Training at Blodgett Medical Center affiliated with University of Michigan where she served as chief resident.  While practicing general internal medicine in Gloversville, NY, she was recognized as a gifted physician. She was recruited by Cardiology Associates of Schenectady in 2008 to be their first dedicated hospitalist at Ellis Hospital.

Being admitted to a hospital can be a frightening experience. Dr. Nawab’s superlative judgement, bedside manner and knowledge has positively impacted the hospital stay for scores of patients. She is known among her peers and hospital staff and a kind and steady force.

Dr. Nawab has become an authority on heart disease in women. She is the Medical Director of the Neil and Jane Golub Breast & Heart Health Center. She has been awarded the American Heart Association’s Donald Led Duke Hero Award in 2014.

In addition to her work within Ellis Hospital, Dr. Nawab follows patients in the office and is a frequent community speaker on women’s health issues.
