Dr. Edward Wright attended Yale University where as a pre – med student became captain of the hockey team. He graduated from Tufts University School of Medicine then did his internal medicine training at Albany Medical College. He joined the faculty of Albany Medical College after completing his cardiology training at University of Virginia. After becoming accomplished at coronary angioplasty, he joined Drs. Nolan, Parkes, Long and Armenia in 1989. He was one of the founding members of Cardiology Associates of Schenectady. He set up the interventional cardiology program at Ellis Hospital and became of the leading interventionalists in the region.
In addition to his interventional skills, Dr. Wright was a gifted educator and skilled clinician. He had practices in Schenectady and Gloversville. He abruptly left practice in 1999 after being diagnosed with cancer and tragically passed away in 2000 at age 52.
