Dr. Holmes earned his Bachelor of Arts and Doctor of Medicine degrees from John Hopkins University, where he was elected to the National Medical Honors Society, Alpha Omega Alpha.
His residency and fellowship in cardiology were completed at the University of Vermont. He is board certified in Cardiovascular Disease and Nuclear Cardiology, and a fellow of the American College of Cardiology.
Dr. Holmes joined Cardiology Associates in 2000 working with Dr. Wiese to establish a full time office in Gloversville. After his success at that location, Dr. Holmes began practicing at the Balltown Road office while maintaining his presence in Gloversville.
In addition to his superlative clinical skills, Dr. Holmes demonstrates his expertise in echocardiography and nuclear cardiology. He became part of the leadership team at Cardiology Associates in 2008 and in 2017 replaced Dr. Nolan as president of the group. Under his leadership, Cardiology Associates has continued to grow and offer the most up to date treatments for their patients.
