Dr. Parisi graduated from the Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute/Albany Medical College accelerated BS/MD program. He completed internship and residency at Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center and North Shore University Hospital. Subsequently, he underwent cardiology fellowship training at North Shore University–Cornell University Medical College. He is Board Certified in Internal Medicine, Cardiovascular Diseases, and Nuclear Cardiology.
Dr. Parisi has voluntarily re-certified in Cardiovascular Diseases. He is both a fellow in the American College of Physicians and American College of Cardiology.
Before joining Cardiology Associates of Schenectady, he held an academic appointment at New York University Medical College and was formerly on staff at University Hospital in Long Island, New York. Dr. Parisi was previously in private practice on Long Island where he was attending at Long Island Jewish Hospital, North Shore University Hospital, and the Heart Center of St. Francis Hospital in Roslyn on Long Island. He was formally a senior partner at the Queens Long Island Medical Group and has extensive experience with managed care.
Dr. Parisi became one of the first full time members of the Amsterdam office of Cardiology Associates in 1999. His kind personality and strong clinical skills has contributed greatly to care of patients in that region. In addition to a busy practice he was instrumental in setting up programs for echocardiography, nuclear cardiology and carotid ultrasounds in that office.
