Dr. Abisse first came to Schenectady to attend Union College where he earned his Bachelor of Science in biochemistry graduating Magna Cum Laude. He completed his medical education at the State University of New York at Buffalo. Subsequently he served his internship and residency at University of Pittsburgh Medical Center, where he earned the Lawrence Reardon Professionalism award. He completed cardiology fellowship training at Brown University in Providence, Rhode Island, where he was elected to be Chief Cardiology Fellow.
Dr. Abisse joined Cardiology Associates of Schenectady in 2015. He is Board Certified in Cardiology, Internal Medicine, Nuclear Cardiology, Echocardiography and Vascular Ultrasound and a Fellow of the American College of Cardiology.
In addition to Dr. Abisse’s superb clinical skills he has strong expertise in all forms of non – invasive cardiology. Along with Dr. Piacentine, he has been instrumental in updating the acquisition and interpretation of echocardiographic studies. He has helped develop and staff the first Pulmonary Embolism Response Team in the region at Ellis Hospital.
